Morning people are an enviable bunch. To some of us, the idea of being able to jump out of bed the minute our alarm goes off, no matter how early, is laughable. Who actually wants to get out of bed, especially at 5 or 6 in the morning?
If you think the best morning routine is the one that doesn’t require getting out of bed, you’re not alone. Unfortunately, our fast-paced modern world doesn’t agree, and we live in a time and place that requires most of us to be up in and ready to go in the morning. So, what can we do? What’s the secret to getting out of the snooze cycle and into the realm of morning people?
The bad news there is no one grand secret. Everybody’s different! What works for me may not work for you. The good news is that your best morning routine is definitely out there and we at Fabulous want to help you build it from the ground up. With our app, you can transform your morning routine into something you look forward to. If you give us a month, we’ll give you not just the ability but the willingness to jump out of bed and rock your day!

How to rock your morning
The best morning routine is the one that gets you out of bed. Simple as that. But what are some ways to guarantee you won’t go crawling back under the covers? We have some suggestions.
Make your bed. Not only will you feel like you’ve accomplished something first thing in the morning, you’ll be less tempted to crawl back under the covers if they look neat and tidy. After all, who wants to make their bed twice?
Minimize decision-making. If you have to make decisions about what to wear or what you need to do when you first wake up, you’re far more likely to put it off until you’re less groggy. Instead of doing that, try to set your morning up so that all those decisions are made for you ahead of time. Plan your outfit and your to-dos the night before.
Put the focus on waking up and feeling GREAT. Get something to drink and move around, say some affirmations, meditate to focus your mind. Do whatever you need to do to feel alert and awesome!
Wake up at YOUR right time. Appealing though it may be to join the 5 AM club, if you can’t get your body to fall asleep before midnight, you may only be hurting yourself. There’s nothing wrong with being a night owl. You can still have a productive morning routine, even if your morning starts later than you’d like.
What are the best tasks to do in the morning?
Every self-help book, website, and app has their idea of the bests morning activities (including us!). Some people believe in the rejuvenating power of a morning workout while others swear that writing is the best morning activity. You may be noticing a theme, but the best tasks to handle in the morning are the ones that work for you. If you’re not a writer, don’t waste your time writing! If you prefer working out at night, work out at night!
We do have one recommendation, however. Get the worst/hardest tasks out of the way first. Like Mark Twain once said, if you eat a frog first thing in the morning, the rest of the day won’t be so bad in comparison. Do the thing you’re most dreading first thing in the morning and you don’t have to worry about it for the rest of the day!
