2. Stand tall.

Posture is a commonly overlooked piece of our health that can also boost your confidence. How you hold yourself can affect how you portray yourself. Stand or sit up straight, and take a deep breath. It feels powerful, doesn’t it? Your back will thank you, too!
3. Walk in long strides.

Have you ever noticed how models appear extra confident while walking down a runway? This has to do with the way they walk. Take long steps, hold your head high, and take a deep breath. Smile! Even if it’s forced, faking it until you’re making it can trick your mind into feeling more confident.
4. Give yourself genuine compliments.

Shut down negative self-talk in its tracks, and replace each negative thought with a compliment! Many of us are really harsh on ourselves without realizing it. For example, if you think “I have to go to the gym because I don’t like my body” just think, would you have said something similar to a friend? Replace that with “I want to go to the gym because I want to take care of my body and I love it”! Show yourself some love, and feel the confidence come back!

5. Wear something bold and rock it!

Do you have something hiding in your closet that you’re too nervous to wear? Is it just a little too bold or daring for you? Wear it and own it! Remember, we aren’t comparing ourselves to others anymore, so who’s to judge? If you like it enough to buy it, then deep down you enjoy it and should wear it regardless of how you think others will react.
6. Meditate.

Clear those negative thoughts out of your head, or just take time to relax! If you have a million thoughts buzzing around your head, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and defeated. Take 5 minutes to restore clarity, and feel more confident afterward.
7. Make a game plan.

Are you feeling anxious about an event coming up, or maybe just life in general? Take a moment to write down all of your to-dos, then create a game plan. This will allow your mind to relax since you don’t need to stress about remembering everything. Having a solid game plan will restore your confidence, too!
8. Stop comparing yourself to others.

“Comparison is the thief of joy” is a famous quote from Theodore Roosevelt, and he’s right! Constant comparing takes a toll on your confidence as well. Sometimes we’re so caught up comparing ourselves to others that we don’t focus on taking care of ourselves. Each time you find yourself comparing, shut down those thoughts immediately and remind yourself that no two lives are the same. You’re taking a different path and refocus on how to achieve your goals.
